Nigeria’s Flying Eagles set-up a final date with Ghana in the WAFU B U20 Championship following their 3-1 semi-final victory over the Niger Republic on Sunday night in Togo.
The defending champions started the game brightly but fell behind very early as Niger took a 10th minute lead at the the Stade de Kegue in Lome, Togo.
The Nigeria U20 team continued to dominate as they searched for an equalizer and it came in sensational fashion from Clinton Jephta five minutes after the half-hour mark.
The comeback was completed in the second half and it was Jephta again, who scored the goal with a shot from inside the box.
The Nigerian contingent then exploited the spaces left by their desperate opponent late in the game, scoring a third through Alonge Olalekan to put the game beyond Niger.
