Spanish tactician Mikel Arteta has provided Arsenal injury updates ahead of their meeting with Preston North End in the Carabao Cup fourth round on Wednesday night.
The Gunners, already without captain Martin Ødegaard and Riccardo Calafiori due to injuries lost the duo of Gabriel and Jurrien Timber in the second-half against Liverpool, an absence that saw the visitors grab a late equalizer in the Emirates on Sunday.

Mikel Arteta Provides Arsenal Injury Updates Ahead of Preston Trip
On Brazilian center back Gabriel Magalhaes, who was withdrawn earlier in the second-half following an awkward landing under pressure from Luis Diaz, Arteta said;
“We are still assessing him. It doesn’t look bad at all. It was much better the next day. He has done some tests.”

Gabriel may need time to heal is swolen knee while Timber only needed rest. Riccardo Calafiori will miss out for a few weeks while Martin Ødegaard is expected back in training this week.

William Saliba has served his one game suspension and will be available for selection, whether on Wednesday in Preston or at Newcastle in the weekend.
