Cervantes urged fans to avoid creating conflict surrounding their decision, in quotes relayed by The Mirror, stating,
“Enzo and I have decided to take some distance from each other today. But we will always be family, and we will support each other in everything.
Because there are two children involved who need a lot of love from us.”
She added, “I know the person Enzo is and what an excellent father he is, as well as the heart he has. And that is enough for me. Please don’t try to create conflicts where there are none.”
Reports from Argentina indicate that Fernandez has expressed a desire to explore aspects of life he felt he had bypassed by committing to family at a young age.
The 23-year-old has reportedly conveyed a wish to live independently.
Enzo Fernandez’s recent on-field struggles

Fernandez’s move to Chelsea in January 2023 was marked by a hefty £105 million transfer fee, but the midfielder has faced challenges this season.
Despite being included in the Blues’ leadership group and captaining the team in six of their first seven Premier League matches, he has recently lost his starting position to Romeo Lavia.
Manager Enzo Maresca showed visible frustration with Fernandez during Wednesday’s 2-0 loss to Newcastle, turning away in disappointment after the Argentine misplayed a pass that nearly led to a goal for the opposition.
Fernandez also struggled against Joelinton, who capitalised on his error to create a first-half chance for the Magpies.
