Kelechi Iheanacho scored his first set of goals for Sevilla, netting a brace in a 3-0 victory over Las Rozas CF on Wednesday to help García Pimienta’s side advance to the second round of the Copa del Rey.
The 28-year-old has endured a tough start to life with the record Europa League champions following his free transfer from Leicester City in the summer, having fallen behind in Pimienta’s attacking pecking order.

However, he took his chance well when selected in the starting line up during Wednesday’s Copa del Rey game, marking his debut in the competition with a brace at Estadio Navalcarbón.
An early goal from Luis Méndez put Sevilla ahead before Iheanacho doubled the lead in the 60th minute, tapping in after Juan Sánchez’s clever play.
The former Manchester City forward then struck again in the 79th minute, showing quick reactions to finish after Gerard Fernández’s shot was blocked.

Iheanacho’s knack for scoring in domestic cup debuts continues, adding to a trend he began with Manchester City and Leicester City, where he scored in his first FA Cup, League Cup, and Community Shield appearances.
