Manchester City Academy alumnus Tosin Adarabioyo’s international future remains in the air, but Alex Iwobi has revealed that the Chelsea defender is still weighing his options, with his eligibility for both Nigeria and England.
It is doubt that playing for the Three Lions is his most favoured option, but at 27, the former England youth player is yet to receive call up to the senior team, while he has been approached by the NFF over representing Nigeria.
Adarabioyo was left out of the England’s squad for the European Championship this summer, where England went all the way to the final before ultimately losing to Spain— the omission also made the NFF revisited him to consider the Super Eagles.

Manchester City academy alumnus still weighing options
Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi, who played alongside Adarabioyo at Fulham last season before the latter secured a summer move to Chelsea, has shared that he has already discussed the possibility of representing Nigeria with the Manchester City Academy Alumnus.
“He’s a great player, and I know his qualities, having played both with and against him,” Iwobi told Making of Champions as per Brila.
“We would love to have him on the team, but ultimately, it’s his decision.”
“I’ve spoken to him about playing for Nigeria, but he mentioned that he wants a team where he can have stability and secure a regular spot,” Iwobi added.
“At the end of the day, the choice is his. I’m sure he’s happy at Chelsea, a big club. As long as he’s enjoying his football, that’s what matters.” Iwobi concluded.
The Manchester City academy alumnus has struggled for minutes following his summer move to Chelsea as a free agent. His frustration couldn’t get any worse as he is not engaged at international level.
He has played just 172 minutes of league action after nine games this season.
