Following the release of Alex Iwobi’s latest single, “What’s Luv,” under Project 17, fans have rediscovered an old music video of his uncle, Jay Jay Okocha, who also ventured into music years ago.
Iwobi has been making strides in his budding music career, with “What’s Luv” marking his second release after debuting with “Don’t Shoot” a few months back.
The track, a blend of Afro-swing and hip-hop, features his smooth flow and highlights his range beyond football.

Fans dig out Okocha’s old music video
This new release then stirred memories of his uncle, Jay Jay Okocha, who also ventured into music nearly 30 years ago.
In 1994, long before Iwobi’s time, Okocha launched his own rap single, “I Am JJ,” which fans have since revisited in response to his nephew’s latest release.

While Iwobi’s energetic, box-to-box style is a far cry from his uncle’s flair-filled approach, his recent off-field pursuits have reminded Nigerians of the legacy they share.
The Fulham midfielder has given fans a reason to celebrate both football and music as part of his family’s talent.
