In a recent interview, he expressed his belief that Iwobi stands out for his skill.
“Alex Iwobi is the most skillful player on the team. If you’re going to say Samuel Chukwueze, he has the body movement, but we are talking about skills,” Aina said on the Counter Attack podcast.
Iwobi has been a staple of the Super Eagles since his debut in 2015, initially seen as a potential successor to Jay-Jay Okocha, given their family connection and his flair on the pitch. However, his once-vibrant style has diminished over time. Currently playing for Fulham, Iwobi is enjoying a solid season, contributing two goals and one assist in nine appearances.
