The Portuguese coach will officially take charge on November 11, following the completion of his final duties with Sporting.
His first game in the United dugout is set for November 24 against Ipswich Town.
In a recent statement, Ruben Amorim revealed he had initially requested to join United at the end of the season, aiming to wrap up his commitments in Portugal.
“I asked Man United if I could join at the end of the season,” Amorim told reporter Fabrizio Romano.
“It was what I wanted, but Man United said no. It was now or never. So I had to make a decision, and I said yes,” he added.
The decision highlights the urgency United felt in securing Amorim’s leadership, hoping he can spark a positive change at the club without delay.
