On his X account, the former England international posted:

With this victory, Liverpool now sit two points clear of Manchester City in the Premier League standings, benefiting from City’s unexpected 2-1 loss to Bournemouth.
Arsenal’s own defeat to Newcastle United also opened up the table, as the Gunners risk falling out of the top four if Chelsea secures a win over Manchester United in their upcoming clash.
