Mohamed Salah shared an emotional message with Liverpool fans following their 2-1 victory over Brighton.
The 32-year-old winger scored the winner in the 72nd minute as the Merseyside Reds came back from a goal down to secure a dramatic comeback win over the Seagulls on Saturday.
The win, coupled with Manchester City’s unexpected loss to Bournemouth, has sent Arne Slot’s side to the top of the Premier League.
With the Reds now holding a two-point lead over City, Salah believes that the club belongs at the top and must stay focused on keeping that position until season’s end.

Salah’s heartfelt message to Liverpool fans
The Egyptian star took to X to express his feelings after the game, writing:
“Top of the table is where this club belongs. Nothing less. All teams win matches but there’s only 1 champion in the end.
“That’s what we want. Thank you for your support last night.
“No matter what happens, I will never forget what scoring at Anfield feels like.”
Now in the final year of his contract, the 31-year-old forward is widely expected to leave Liverpool after this season.
