North Korea Wins The 2024 U17 Women’s World Cup
Both teams are giants in this age category, boasting multiple titles. North Korea previously claimed the championship in 2008 and 2016, finishing as runners-up in 2012 and taking fourth place in 2010.
Spain, who had been aiming for a historic third consecutive title after wins in 2018 and 2022, narrowly missed the opportunity to solidify their dominance.
La Roja had previously earned silver in 2014 and bronze in 2010 and 2016, giving them a formidable record in the competition.
With North Korea now matching Spain’s three title wins, the tournament will expand to include 24 teams in its next edition, set to be held in Morocco in 2024.
The expanded lineup promises to raise the stakes and broaden the competition, bringing new challengers into the mix for the coveted trophy.
