Mateo Retegui then scored the third goal in stoppage time, sealing Atalanta’s win and handing Napoli just their second loss of the season.

As Nigerian fans celebrated the victory, some suggested it was a form of revenge for compatriot Victor Osimhen, who had a tumultuous departure from Napoli.
