Former France International Karim Benzema has advised Kyian Mbappé that he has to be good in other positions aside the left-wing if he is to succeed in Real Madrid.
Mbappé has struggled for consistent top form following his move to the European champions in the summer as a free agent, following the end of his six year stint at PSG Paris Saint-German.
Despite scoring eight goals and assisting two in 14 games so far, his time at the club has been highlighted by missed chances and uncharacteristic poor display.
His presence appeared to have affected the perfect set-up at the club just a few months ago. The European champions have been underwhelming this season, evident in their Clasico thrashing at home to Barcelona.

Karim Benzema on Kylian Mbappe struggles in Madrid
Former international teammate and former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has offered him some words of advice to potentially turn around his fortunes in the club.
In an interview with El Chiringuoto TV, Karim Benzema said when asked to advice Mbappé: “Don’t give up. He has to put it in his head that he has to play at number 9.”
“Vinicius is the best player in the world right now and he cannot be moved from the left. They have to interchange a lot. Kylian is very good on the left but now he has to be very good in another position.” concluded the 2022 Ballon d’or winner.
Both Benzema and Mbappé played together in the France national team between 2020 and 2022, winning the UEFA Nations League title in 2021.
