Chelsea face an anxious wait on Cole Palmer after the 22-year-old picked up a knock in the closing stages of their 1-1 draw with Manchester United in Old Trafford on Sunday evening.
The midfielder headed straight down the tunnel at full-time and was wincing as he walked off. Was holding the back of his thigh in obvious pain from the impact of the challenge from Lisandro Martinez.
Speaking after the game, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca said; “Cole was in the changing room with ice, so we are waiting now. Hopefully, it is nothing serious.”

Cole Palmer underwent scan on injury
He has had a scan on the injury, but initial thoughts is that it is not serious. Palmer is not in the Conference League squad so will have a period of rest in mid-week, when Chelsea host FC Noah on Thursday.
As the club awaits for the results of the scan, Palmer is expected to be fit for the visit of Arsenal on Sunday. He scored twice in two games against the Gunners last season, one for Manchester City in the FA Community Shield and the other a penalty to open the scoring in the 2-2 draw in Stamford Bridge.
Palmer missed the reverse fixture in the Emirates stadium, where Arsenal won 5-0.
