Manchester United has been charged a hefty FA fine following their 1-1 draw with Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Manchester Evening News reported that United crossed the disciplinary threshold, and that is why they had to pay a lot of money.
The fiery match, which is usually characterised by the usual cards observed united in receiving the yellow cards, was still characterised by the tendencies of tension even though the match was not considered to be a title race match as it used to be.
A Very Heated Game
Bruno Fernandes put United into the lead from a penalty after Chelsea’s goalkeeper, Robert Sanchez, handled the ball in the box.
But the incident that most fans focused on was Lisandro Martinez’s challenge on Cole Palmer, for which he received a yellow card that VAR further denied a red card.
In addition to Martinez, Manuel Ugarte, Diogo Dalot, Marcus Rashford, Casemiro, and Amad Diallo saw yellow, as did many others, as referee Robert Jones threw the yellow card around as if it were confetti.

Higher Fine Because of the Reckless Offences
United was given six bookings and fined £25,000, doubled to £50,000 for a prior disciplinary offence during the match against Tottenham, which they lost 3-0.
Chelsea also comes under discipline queries; the club has committed three such violations this season, with a £75,000 fine on their records.
If either team transgresses the threshold again, the fine for Chelsea will be £100,000, and additional penalties for United will also escalate.
