Despite Victor Osimhen’s impressive start to his Galatasaray career, Turkish Journalist Kaan Bayazit has advised the club against permanently signing the 25-year-old striker.
The Nigerian star signed a season-long loan agreement with the Turkish giants in the summer as a kind of stopgap after failing to secure a desired departure from Napoli before the European transfer window.
According to sources, the agreement with Cim-Bom was intended to be temporary, and it even has a break option that would permit the Nigerian to depart in January.

However, the striker has expressed his desire to stay until the end of the season, with the club reportedly willing to sign him on a permanent deal. He has proven to be a valuable addition, scoring six goals and providing four assists in eight appearances.
This is what I want – Osimhen makes intentions known on future amid Chelsea link
The cost of signing a striker like Osimhen was a factor in his inability to find a deal over the summer, as teams were turned off by his enormous release clause and high salary demands.
Despite the striker’s €130 million release clause significantly dropping, Napoli’s asking price would no doubt exceed Galatasaray’s record transfer fee of €18 million, which they paid to acquire Gabriel Sara from Norwich last summer.
Bayazit states why Osimhen permanent deal is not the best for Galatasaray
Bayazit believes getting the striker is not the best decision, as his cost would outweigh the benefits that come with his acquisition.
“If I was an accountant, I would say, ‘Don’t do it’,” he told the BBC.
“Napoli will want 50 million euros bare minimum. Galatasaray’s record signing is midfielder Gabriel Sara from Norwich last summer for 18 million euros.
“Galatasaray have Mauro Icardi, so they should spend that money on a different position to centre forward. Fans were very critical before Osimhen happened, as there was no star winger. They are now happy, but as a puzzle piece fitting in, it doesn’t make sense,” he added.
Meanwhile, Osimhen was recently tipped for a move to Real Madrid, considering his qualities as one of the best strikers around.
