Carlo Ancelotti Insists That Mbappe is Working Hard
This marks the fourth consecutive time Mbappé has been left out of the French team, a surprising pattern that has stirred discussions about the star forward’s future with the national side.
Addressing the matter ahead of Real Madrid’s LaLiga match against Osasuna on Saturday, Carlo Ancelotti was quick to emphasize that Mbappé’s omission was not his decision, while also highlighting the player’s dedication.
“Mbappé out of the France squad? That’s not up to me. He’s my player, he’s motivated, and he’s working hard,” Ancelotti said in his pre-match press conference.
The manager added that Mbappé’s attitude and work ethic remain strong, noting,
“He is training really well—not just him, but everyone. It’s not just about Kylian; all the players need to work to reach their full potential.”
Ancelotti’s remarks underline his support for Mbappé amid the continued uncertainty surrounding his national team status.
