Chelsea fans have called out one of their players, who failed to impress in Sunday’s 1-1 league draw against London rivals Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
After a tightly contested first half, Gabriel Martinelli opened the scoring for the visitors on the hour mark, beating Robert Sanchez at his near post.
Eight minutes after conceding, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca made a tactical adjustment, bringing on Enzo Fernandez in place of Romeo Lavia, while Mykhailo Mudryk replaced Noni Madueke, who had been playing on the right.
The change saw Pedro Neto shift to Madueke’s position, while Mudryk operated from the left flank—a move that paid off, as Chelsea equalised just two minutes later. Fernandez laid a pass to Neto, who scored from long range as the game ended with both teams sharing points.

Chelsea fans react after Madueke’s performance
After the game, Chelsea fans took to social media to question the decision to start Madueke, as he was seen as unproductive.
One said, ”Madueke should never start another game for Chelsea.”
Another said, ”Neto goes to the RW and scores 2 minutes later; Maresca needs to stop playing him out of position to accumulate Madueke. It is not like Madueke has been playing well either.”
A third wrote, ”Madueke walked straight down the tunnel after being subbed off, with no apparent injury? Yeah, leave him out of the match day squad for a while.”
With the draw, Chelsea are currently third on the Premier League table with 19 points, heading into the international break.
