Ikorodu City FC earned their first-ever away win in top-flight history after coming from behind to secure a 2-1 win over Katsina United in the Mohammed Dikko stadium on Sunday.
The Lagos based club continues to enjoy the turnaround under Nurudeen Aweroro as this latest victor, which makes it back-to-back wins lift them out of the drop zone.
Moses Effiong gave the host an early lead in the 18th minute, but the visitors restored parity just before the break through Emmanuel Solomon, who also went on to complete a brace with the winner in the 89th minute.

Ikorodu City earns first-ever away win in top-flight history
The victory sees the club pick up their first-ever away win in the Nigerian Professional Football League on their sixth attempt, ending Katsina United’s unbeaten home run that had lasted for two years.
With four wins, and one draw in their last six games, Ikorodu City has picked up more points than any other side in the division since parting companies with their previous manager, and now moves up to 12th on the log, with 14 points after eleven games.
Up next is the visit of Shooting Stars in what is expected to be a mouthwatering South West derby. A win could see Aweroro side move into the top six, depending on results elsewhere.
