Enzo Maresca has professed his ‘love’ for one Chelsea star following his solid performance in the Blues’ 1-1 draw against Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
Chelsea came from a goal deficit to rescue a point at Stamford Bridge thanks to a stunning strike from Pedro Neto, who fired in from long range to beat David Raya.

Maresca heaps praise on Fofana
While the Portuguese winger received praise from fans alongside other players, including Marc Cucurella, who was named the man of the match, Maresca, during his post-match conference, singled out French defender Wesley Fofana, who played a key role in limiting Arsenal’s attack.
The 23-year-old defender played the full 90 minutes and was very solid at the heart of the Chelsea defense. He also helped to create attack opportunities with his forward runs, which helped in creating quick turnovers in favour of the Blues.
“Let me say again: I’m in love with Wes Fofana,” Maresca said after the game, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
The Chelsea boss continued as he hailed the defender, who was sidelined for several months with injury, calling him a fighter.
“He spent all of last season injured and came back in the way he is fighting every day.
“He probably has to play until the end of his career with pain. You have to be strong, and he is like this.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea fans called out one of their players, who failed to impress in Sunday’s clash.
With the draw, the Blues sit third on the table with 19 points, tied on nine points behind Liverpool, who sit atop the league table.
