Auxerre defender Gabriel Osho expressed his excitement about the chance to represent Nigeria on the international stage, marking a significant milestone in his career.
Gabriel Osho is one of 23 players called up by Super Eagles caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
The 26-year-old defender received his first invitation to join the Nigerian squad in March 2024, but an untimely injury prevented him from making his debut.

Now, fully fit and ready, Osho is eager to join his international teammates and contribute to the team’s success.
Reflecting on his call-up, Osho shared:
“I was invited before but couldn’t come because of injury and other things, but when this invitation came, everything just aligned, and I could finally join the team.”
He promised fans to bring dedication and effort to every game, saying:
“I will just work as hard as I can; that’s what the fans can expect from me every single game.”
Osho also acknowledged the level of talent within the squad, noting the competition among Nigeria’s talented players.
