Boxing legend Mike Tyson has finally opened up that he almost died of a health problem before his fight with Jake Paul.
While the fight was initially meant to take place on July 20th, it was postponed after the heavyweight icon experienced a medical issue while traveling due to an ulcer flare-up.
However, it was later held on Friday, November 15th, at the AT&T Stadium in Texas, where Paul defeated Tyson through a unanimous decision.
Iron Mike fought through all eight rounds, despite his advanced age, but lost to the YouTuber-turned-boxer on points.

Tyson recently shared a tweet after the fight, revealing that he almost lost his life in June. The veteran boxer, however, said he is grateful for the opportunity to return to the ring despite the loss.
He wrote,
“This is one of those situations when you lost but still won. I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to get in ring one last time.
“I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won.
“To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. Thank you.”
With Tyson’s health struggles and his age, it is most unlikely the veteran will step into the ring again. However, last Friday’s fight will be remembered as a historic moment in the boxing world.
