Napoli are reportedly unenthusiastic about a potential trade involving Victor Osimhen and Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee, preferring a full-cash deal for their Nigerian star striker.
In a previous report from Sports Buddy according to Il Mattino (via Get Italian Football News), the Partenopei are prepared to wait until the summer to maximize their returns from Osimhen’s transfer, potentially earning around €75M if his release clause is triggered.
United’s Interest and Galatasaray’s Stance
Manchester United remain keen on Osimhen, but Galatasaray’s insistence that the striker will not leave in January adds a layer of complexity.
With Osimhen currently on loan at the Turkish club, any move would require Galatasaray’s consent. Although they have downplayed the chances of a midseason exit, activating Osimhen’s release clause could force their hand.
According to the Cult of Calcio, Napoli, meanwhile, see little value in accepting Zirkzee plus €30M, viewing the Dutchman as a suboptimal replacement for their prolific forward.

Napoli’s Reinforcements in the Works
Napoli’s transfer strategy appears to focus on long-term planning. The club is reportedly in advanced negotiations to sign Ange-Yoan Bonny from Parma.
Represented by Federico Pastorello—who also manages Romelu Lukaku and Alex Meret—Bonny is seen as a promising addition to Napoli’s attack.
However, Parma are unlikely to let the young forward leave midseason.
In addition to bolstering their frontline, Napoli manager Antonio Conte is pressing for defensive reinforcements.
Targets include Jaka Bijol, Ko Itakura, and Lecce’s Patrick Dorgu. Dorgu, in particular, is a prized prospect, and Napoli are reportedly eager to speed up his arrival if they win the transfer race.
