Raheem Sterling has been labelled the ”flop of the season” for failing to live up to expectations since his move to Arsenal.
The 29-year-old winger secured a loan move from Chelsea to the North London outfit on transfer deadline day but has not been of much impact for the Gunners.
Sterling has made just eight appearances for Mikel Arteta’s side, starting only two of those games. His only goal contribution came when Arsenal defeated Bolton 5-1 in the Carabao Cup.

Stan Collymore slams Arsenal forward Sterling
While Gunners boss Arteta had previously claimed that Sterling is ”getting better’‘, former Premier League attacker Stan Collymore is of the opinion that the ex-City forward has been the worst signing of the season.
‘‘Raheem Sterling has been a massive disappointment.” Collymore said, speaking to the Metro, via the Mirror.
“He came in and said he was going to give the club his best work, but that hasn’t happened. He’s arguably stunk the place out so far and he’s definitely one of the flops of the season having promised to do his best work at Arsenal.
“He’s an experienced player who has won everything there is to win, he was expected to push the dressing room up another level and he hasn’t done that.”
Meanwhile, Arsenal have struggled in recent times and are without a win in their last four Premier League games.
They host Nottingham Forest this weekend for their matchday 12 encounter, aiming to secure maximum points in a bid to keep their title hopes alive.
