Popular journalist and Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has taken a dig at Erling Haaland following Manchester City’s humiliating loss to Tottenham Hotspur, seemingly in retaliation on behalf of Gunners boss Mikel Arteta.
Recall Haaland had a moment with Arteta weeks ago, telling the Spanish manager to “stay humble” after the Cityzens salvaged a draw against the North London club, thanks to a late John Stones goal.
However, the defending champions have struggled recently, losing their last five matches across all competitions. Saturday’s 4-0 home defeat to Spurs was the latest setback in what has been a disastrous run—a game in which the 24-year-old striker squandered two good chances to give City the lead.

Morgan taunts Haaland
Morgan has now hit back at the Norwegian striker, mocking him for the defeat.
With an image of Haaland telling Gunners boss Mikel Arteta to “be humble” after their earlier-season draw, Morgan wrote on X: “You’d DEFINITELY better stay humble after this, @ErlingHaaland,” adding laughing emojis.

Meanwhile, the defeat to Spurs saw the Cityzens set an unwanted record.
They will, however, look to recover from this setback with a win when they host Feyenoord at the Etihad in their upcoming Champions League encounter.
