Arsenal have been handed a huge boost ahead of their crucial Champions League clash against Sporting CP on Tuesday night.
Defender Kierran Tierney, who has been sidelined for months with a hamstring injury, is now fit and could make a surprise return against the Portuguese side at the Estádio José Alvalade.

Arsenal boss Arteta confirms Tierney’s availability.
Speaking during his pre-match interview for the Arsenal vs Sporting clash, Gunners boss Arteta confirmed the good news that every member of the team, including Tierney, is fit enough to play tonight.
“Everyone who is in the squad is fully fit to start the game. We have Kieran Tierney with us after a long injury. It’s great news that he is back; he’s been training with us and he is available to participate,” the Spanish manager said, as quoted by Goonertalk.
Tierney spent last season on loan at Real Sociedad after falling out of favour at the club due to his recurring injury problems, which also affected his consistent availability for the Spanish outfit.
After making a full recovery, the £25 million acquisition has now traveled to Portugal with the Gunners; however, it is unclear if he will make an appearance, with Ricardo Calafiori also back in the team.
Meanwhile, Arsenal will aim to bounce back from match day four’s setback, having lost 1-0 to Inter Milan at the San Siro, a defeat that leaves them in 12th place with seven points heading into this clash.
