Asisat Oshoala, one of the Super Falcons’ star players, will be unavailable for their friendly match against France’s Les Bleues on Saturday, November 30.
The absence is due to ongoing efforts to renew her documentation in the United States.
The former Barcelona Femeni forward, who remains a key figure for Nigeria’s national team, was omitted from the squad for logistical reasons, according to Super Falcons coach Justin Madugu.
“Her absence is purely due to logistical reasons and not a reflection of her talent or importance to the team,” Madugu told ESPN.
Oshoala’s visa and work permit for the United States have expired, and she is currently in the process of renewal. Until these formalities are resolved, she is unable to participate in international fixtures, including the friendly in France.

Key Player for the Super Falcons
Despite missing the upcoming match, Oshoala’s contributions to the Super Falcons remain undisputed.
Her experience, skill, and leadership have been instrumental in the team’s successes, and she continues to be a central figure in their plans moving forward.
As the Super Falcons prepare for the clash against France, the team will need to adapt without their star striker, but her absence is expected to be temporary as she resolves her documentation.
