Bayer Leverkusen are determined to keep Victor Boniface at the club despite rumours linking the Nigerian striker to Manchester United.
According to Bild via 4-4-2.com, Leverkusen are planning to offer Boniface a contract extension alongside Florian Wirtz. The 23-year-old forward is already tied to the club until 2028, but the German champions want to extend his deal by another year to secure his future.

Leverkusen to offer Boniface new deal amid Manchester United interest
Manchester United are reportedly interested in Boniface as they seek to find the goals that have so far eluded them this season in January. Any move for the striker is more likely to happen in the summer, and one that would need a significant transfer fee. Leverkusen’s desire to extend his contract highlights their intention to hold on to him.
The 23-year-old forward has eight goals and an assist in all competitions this term but has not played the last two games due to injury. In his absence, Patrik Schick has stepped up to match Boniface’s tally this season, pushing for a starting place.
The Nigerian international will be eager to return to action as soon as possible to take his place, hoping another long spell on the sidelines after last season’s injury.
He has already missed four matches this term, two in the Champions League, one in the Bundesliga, and one in the DFB-Pokal.
