Tosin Adarabioyo was present at Chelsea’s pre-match press conference on Wednesday, where he stated that the club takes every competition they find themselves in seriously.
The Blues have won the Champions League and Europa League twice, and the Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup once, but this season they are playing in the Conference League due to a sixth-place finish in the 2023-2024 Premier League.
Enzo Maresca’s side have made a perfect start in the competition, winning all three matches and scoring 16 goals—the highest in the tournament so far. Their performances, including in the qualifying rounds, show they are taking the competition seriously, a point Tosin emphasized.

The former Fulham defender has featured in all of Chelsea’s games in the tournament, playing full games, compared to the domestic league, where he has played just four games. He will most likely feature for the Blues once again tonight.
What Tosin said ahead of Chelsea’s Conference League clash
Speaking to the club’s official website, he said,
*”It‘s a competition that we take very seriously. There are no days you can switch off, you have to perform every single day.“.
”Even this month where we will have 9 or 10 games, we have no time to switch off whether it‘s recovery, training or something else, it‘s a big festive period and we are here to get results.
“I think it‘s clear to see even in the growth from the start of the season has been tremendous. We believe there is so much more to give and achieve together. We are growing together each day.”*
Along with Tosin, Tyrique George and Carney Chukwuemeka–both of whom are also eligible for Nigeria–are expected to be in Chelsea’s squad for the game.
