Manchester United’s rising star Chido Obi-Martin celebrated his first professional contract in style, scoring the opening goal in the Under-18s’ 3-0 victory over Stoke City on Saturday.
The Danish youth international, who joined United from Arsenal last summer, has continued to make his mark since turning professional.

Just a day after his 17th birthday, Obi-Martin’s professional contract officially commenced, fulfilling a deal initially signed as a scholarship.

Obi-Martin drew the foul himself, skillfully getting past defender Pijus Otegbayo to win the spot-kick. Calm and composed, he sent the Stoke goalkeeper the wrong way to find the back of the net.
This goal marked his second consecutive scoring appearance for United’s U18s, underlining his growing consistency.

Dominance in the Under-18s Premier League
Though Obi-Martin was substituted five minutes later, United’s dominance continued.
James Scanlon rifled in a stunning second from the edge of the box, his 10th league goal this season. Dante Plunkett sealed the victory late on, tapping home from close range to complete a convincing performance.
With this result, United’s U18s extended their perfect league record to 10 wins from 10 matches, netting an impressive 46 goals while maintaining four consecutive clean sheets.
