Former Turkish Super Lig player of the year Burak Yilmaz has expressed confidence in Galatasaray’s ability to attract top strikers even if Victor Osimhen leaves the club.
Osimhen joined the club on a season loan and has been impressive since his move. The Nigerian striker has scored eight goals and provided five assists in 11 games for the Aslans, proving his worth as one of the best attackers in the game.
While reports claim that the club is interested in making his loan deal permanent, uncertainty still hovers over his future as he as shown desires to play in the Premier League.
Many believe Osimhen’s move to the Turkish side was just a temporary move, pending the time bigger clubs in Europe come for him, with reports claiming Chelsea and Manchester United are still interested in the prolific striker.
In addition, Galatasaray have been advised against signing the loanee permanently as it has been deemed an unwise investment, given his huge release clause, which is way more than the club’s record transfer fee.

What Yimaz said on Osimhen
Amid the speculations, Yilmaz has suggested that the Istanbul-based outfit can afford to let their in-form striker go as their other better options would come.
He emphasized that the club has always had the best players, and no one is indispensible.
“Galatasaray have always had the best goalkeepers and strikers. If Icardi is not at Galatasaray, Osimhen will be there. If Osimhen is not there, someone better will be,” Yimaz told 343, per Le Marca Sports.
It is worth noting that Galatasaray have a strong track record of signing star strikers. The Aslans once had legendary forward Didier Drogba leading their attack.
