Former Besiktas midfielder Sinan Engin has hailed Victor Osimhen, claiming that his ambition sets him apart from Ciro Immobile, Lazio‘s Player of the Year for 2019-2020.
Engin made this comment following the 25-year-old striker’s impressive performances since joining Galatasaray on loan from Napoli this summer.
The Nigerian forward has been in staggering form, netting eight times and providing five assists in only 11 games across all competitions, and his recent displays have drawn comparisons to other strikers.

Engin compares Osimhen with Immobile
However, Engin pointed out that Osimhen is different because of his determination. Speaking with Galatasaray Gazetesi, Engin revealed his admiration for the striker‘s relentless drive.
“Osimhen comes from an ambitious place, having struggled to survive in Africa. He bites the ball, struggles with the opponent, goes higher in the air than the goalkeeper.”
On the contrary, Engin described Immobile as different in style, referring to him as an Italian model.
“On the other hand, you look at Immobile, he looks like an Italian model.”
Engin’s comments brought out the view that while Immobile is undeniably talented, Osimhen‘s background and work ethic set him apart ins a today‘s game.
