Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek has vowed to do all it takes to keep Victor Osimhen at the club beyond the January transfer window, despite interest from other clubs.
Osimhen’s season-long loan move to the Turkish side seems to be working well for both parties. The Nigerian striker, who had been frozen out of Napoli’s first team, has revived his career at his new club, helping them stay at the top of the league with his remarkable goal contributions.
The 24-year-old has scored nine goals and provided five assists in just 12 appearances for the Lions, quickly endearing himself to the fans.
However, his future at the club has come under uncertainty, with reports suggesting that his deal includes a clause allowing a potential January move. Top clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly interested in the prolific striker.

While Osimhen has publicly stated his intention to stay for the full season, Özbek has also warned potential suitors, emphasising the unlikelihood of the Super Eagles star leaving midseason due to the terms of his agreement.
Özbek’s message to Osimhen’s suitors
Speaking to A Spor via spor skor, he said,
“Victor Osimhen came like a 100-year-old Galatasaray and is adapting. If you see his attitude in Florya. I think we have a share here and I am very happy.
“Those who cannot adapt to this atmosphere cannot stay in Galatasaray anyway. He is our player this season.
“There is a very difficult clause for him to leave during the mid-season break. According to our agreement, he will play for us until the end of the season.
“No one should bend it. He will make his own decision at the end of the season.”
Osimhen’s loan deal with Galatasaray is set to expire on June 30, 2025, and he will aim to continue his impressive form throughout his time at the club.
