Alex Iwobi has had a record-breaking start to the Premier League season with Fulham, scoring five goals and providing three assists in 14 matches.
He scored a brace in Thursday’s 3-1 win against Brighton, making him Fulham‘s top-scoring Nigerian player, having surpassed Sone Aluko‘s tally of nine goals. Iwobi now has 11 goals for the club, with 10 of those coming in the Premier League, making him the 24th Fulham player to hit double digits in the competition, according to Soccernet.

Iwobi sets new record
The 28-year-old‘s recent display also saw him achieve a rare feat, as he became the first player this year to score twice, complete three or more take-ons, win five or more duels, and regain possession five or more times in a Premier League match.
