Chelsea winger Noni Madueke has responded to manager Enzo Maresca, who criticised the 22-year-old despite an impressive outing against Southampton on Wednesday.
Madueke was in top form at St. Mary’s in midweek, scoring a goal and providing an assist to help the Blues to an emphatic 5-1 victory over Russell Martin’s side.
Despite this performance, Blues manager Maresca questioned the England international’s dedication and training consistency after the match. He did, however, add that he had a strong relationship with the 22-year-old.

Madueke’s response to Maresca’s citicism
Madueke has now addressed the head coach’s remarks by referring to the Italian as a man of integrity and honesty.
“Maresca is honest and truthful. He tells the truth and he is a man you can trust,” the former PSV winger said, as per Goal.
”That’s all you want from a coach. He is a coach who is straight with everyone and fair to everyone. That’s what you need at a top club like Chelsea.”
While Madueke will look to take his manager’s feedback on board, he will also look to increase his returns for the team.
Meanwhile, Maresca’s side is currently second in the standings, and they will next make the trip north as they prepare to take on Tottenham on Sunday, hoping to return as happy travellers.
