Galatasaray insider Burhan Can Terzi has disclosed what manager Okan Buruk told him regarding Victor Osimhen potentially joining the Lions on a permanent deal when the 2024-2025 season ends.
Osimhen’s future at the club remains a hot topic, with speculation suggesting the striker, who moved to the Istanbul-based side on a season-long loan, could leave in the January transfer window.
However, Osimhen has made it clear that he wants to see out his loan deal, which is set to expire on June 30, 2024.
While the 25-year-old striker has proven to be a valuable addition, scoring nine goals and providing five assists in 12 games, reports claim that the club desires to keep him on a permanent basis.
Despite expecting a capital injection of €100 million, the transfer seems almost impossible for Galatasaray, as the attacker’s €75 million valuation appears well above the club’s spending standard—over €50 million more than their record transfer purchase.

Insider’s revelation on Victor Osimhen’s future at Galatasaray

However, Terzi’s revelation suggests the club is ready to break the bank to secure the Nigerian on a permanent deal should he express a desire not to return to Napoli.
“Regarding the Osimhen transfer, the Galatasaray manager said to me, ‘If Osimhen tells us in May that he doesn’t want to stay in Napoli,’ ‘We can take him if we want; we will have that financial freedom,'” Burhan Can Terzi said, speaking on the Sportcell YouTube channel via habersarikirmizi.com.
“There have been new sales at Leo Residence, 1.7 billion TL is expected. A total of €100 million of input is expected with the capital increase.”
Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen will look to continue his impressive form as Galatasaray travel to Sivasspor on Sunday for their matchday 14 encounter.
