West Ham United have confirmed that forward Michail Antonio underwent surgery for a lower limb fracture following a serious car accident on Saturday.
The 34-year-old was rushed to a central London hospital where he will remain under close medical supervision.

On Saturday, West Ham released updates confirming Antonio was conscious and communicating after the crash, which involved a heavily damaged Ferrari.
Emergency services, including Essex Fire Service, attended the scene, rescuing Antonio from his vehicle. Images from the scene had circulated online before the club provided official statements.

West Ham expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming support from the football community and emergency responders. The club also thanked medical teams who are assisting in Antonio’s recovery.

Antonio, who joined West Ham in 2015, has been an important player for the club, scoring 83 goals in 323 appearances.
He netted once in 15 games this season, with his last goal coming in a 4-1 win over Ipswich in early October. The Jamaica international also helped the club win the Europa Conference League in 2023.
