Jadon Sancho has been thriving at Chelsea since his loan move from Manchester United, where tensions with former manager Erik ten Hag overshadowed his career.
The 24-year-old winger has rediscovered his form under Enzo Maresca, delivering standout performances for the Blues, including a crucial goal in their recent 4-3 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
The Fallout at Manchester United
Sancho’s time at Manchester United ended on a sour note after a public falling out with Erik ten Hag last season.
The dispute, which led to his exclusion from the first team, created an untenable situation.
Although he was offered a pathway back into the squad, Sancho opted for a season-long loan to Chelsea, with an option for a permanent transfer.
Since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, the England international has looked reinvigorated, showing flashes of the brilliance that defined his stint at Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho’s Veiled Criticism
In a recent interview with the Premier League media team as quoted by GOAL, Sancho expressed gratitude toward Chelsea for their support while seemingly addressing his struggles at United:
“From the very first day, [Chelsea] made me feel welcome. I know I have a lot of people to prove wrong, and I’m just working hard every day in training. When I get my opportunity, I try to show what I can do.”
He added:
“I have to say thank you to the whole Chelsea team and the staff for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play.”
Sancho has become a pivotal player under Maresca and is expected to start when Chelsea faces Astana in a Europa Conference League clash on Thursday, December 12.
