Chelsea star Cole Palmer is capitalizing on his growing fame by trademarking his signature ‘Cold Palmer’ nickname and shivering celebration.

The 22-year-old midfielder, who joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023, has become a key figure in the Premier League and a fan favorite.

Palmer’s celebration, which involves rubbing his arms and puffing out his cheeks as if he’s cold, debuted during Chelsea’s 3-2 victory over Luton Town in December 2023.

He later revealed that the idea originated from his friend and former City academy teammate Morgan Rogers, who had used a similar gesture while playing for Middlesbrough.

According to The Sun, Palmer has officially applied to trademark the celebration and nickname with the UK’s Intellectual Property Office.

This move will allow him to market a variety of products, including clothing, alcohol, food, toys, and even cars.

His application includes a video of the celebration, solidifying his brand beyond the football field.

This isn’t Palmer’s first venture into the fashion world. Recently, he starred in a Burberry campaign, modeling their luxurious Wool Cashmere Duffle Coat priced at £2,490.

Footballers trademarking their celebrations isn’t new. Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic ‘Siu’ and Gareth Bale’s heart-shaped gesture are among the most recognized examples.

Kylian Mbappe also trademarked his arms-crossed celebration. Palmer’s decision to trademark his shivering pose reflects his savvy off-pitch approach to building a personal brand.

Currently third in the Premier League Golden Boot race with 11 goals, Palmer is proving that his talents extend far beyond football, carving out a niche as a rising star on and off the pitch.
