Kylian Mbappé has been named France’s Footballer of the Season, capping off a remarkable campaign in which he netted an astounding 52 goals across all competitions.
His performances guided Paris Saint-Germain to a domestic league and cup double and a Champions League semifinal appearance, solidifying his reputation as one of the game’s elite talents.
However, Kylian Mbappe, now at Real Madrid, graciously acknowledged that Arsenal’s William Saliba was a worthy contender for the accolade.
Saliba, the cornerstone of both Arsenal’s and France’s defense, came in second place with 51 points, just five behind Mbappé in the France Football poll.
“You have to be fair; William Saliba would also have deserved to win this trophy,” Mbappé remarked via Metro, paying tribute to his international teammate.

Kylian Mbappe’s Form For Madrid
While Mbappé enjoys personal accolades, his form for Real Madrid has been less consistent.
The forward, who joined the Spanish giants on a free transfer in June, has scored nine goals in 15 LaLiga matches but faces fitness concerns.
Mbappé sustained a thigh injury during Madrid’s 3-2 Champions League win over Atalanta, ruling him out of Saturday’s LaLiga clash against Rayo Vallecano.
Despite this setback, manager Carlo Ancelotti remains optimistic:
“Kylian is not serious. He won’t be here tomorrow, but he will travel to Qatar for the FIFA Intercontinental Cup final on Wednesday. There, we will assess the risk.”
Madrid’s defensive midfielder, Eduardo Camavinga, is set to return after recovering from a hamstring injury sustained during France’s 2-0 loss to Liverpool in November.
