Pep Guardiola is enduring an uncharacteristically torrid season with his Manchester City side, and the Spanish manager has promised to step down as the Cityzens’ boss in a month’s time if their poor run continues.
City have won just one of their last 10 games across all competitions. The Premier League defending champions are currently third in the EPL table with 27 points, nine points behind league leaders Liverpool.

They are out of the Carabao Cup and sit 22nd in the revamped Champions League table with just eight points from six games, one point above the drop zone after falling 2-0 to Juventus in midweek.

Guardiola’s promise

Guardiola, who has never been sacked in his entire managerial career, stated he would rather step down if his team’s struggles extend beyond this month.
“When I feel it is time to leave, I will leave. If I’m losing and losing and losing one month more, I will say, ‘Guys, someone else has to come to fix these kinds of things,’ because it cannot be eternal,” the Spanish manager said, as per the Daily Mail.
Next up is a Premier League Manchester derby against United this weekend, followed by games against Aston Villa, Everton, Leicester, West Ham, Salford City, and Brentford, all within this month.
