Alex Iwobi has been named Nigeria’s most valuable player in the Premier League, according to Transfermarkt‘s latest update.
The Fulham midfielder is valued at €25 million (about ₦41 billion), putting him ahead of other Nigerian stars in the English top flight.

This is less than Iwobi’s career-high €32 million, but his impressive performances this season have shown his value.
In 16 games, the 27-year-old has five goals and three assists, which is his best Premier League start since his debut.
Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi comes next with a market value of €22 million. His impressive form last season secured his place as Nigeria’s second-most valuable player in the league.

Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi, once valued at €62 million at his peak, is now worth €18 million. Despite the lower value, he remains a key player, having played in all but one game this season.

Calvin Bassey, valued at €16 million, ranks fourth. The centre-back, who became Nigeria’s most expensive defensive export when he moved from Rangers to Ajax in 2022, has been crucial for Fulham under Marco Silva. However, he missed their recent draw against Liverpool due to suspension.

Nottingham Forest’s Ola Aina completes the top five with a valuation of €14 million, thanks to his consistent displays this season.

Further down, Southampton striker Paul Onuachu is valued at €11 million, despite limited game time and no Premier League goals since joining in January 2023.
At the bottom of the list, Emmanuel Dennis, who hasn’t played for Nottingham Forest this season, is worth €4 million. Southampton’s Joe Aribo is just above him at €6 million.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s Carney Chukwuemeka, Tosin Adarabioyo, and Lesley Ugochukwu (on loan at Southampton), as well as Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri, are yet to decide whether to play for Nigeria despite being eligible.
