Moses Simon has been instrumental for Nantes this season, contributing four goals and five assists in 14 Ligue 1 matches, making him the club’s leading goalscorer and top assist provider.
His creative spark and consistency have been pivotal in the Canaries’ attack.
His absence will be felt as Nantes prepares for their Coupe de France opener against Drancy on December 21.
Additionally, uncertainty looms over Simon’s availability for their first Ligue 1 match of 2025 against Lille on January 5.
Nantes Manager on Moses Simon

Nantes head coach Antoine Kombouaré shared an update on Moses’ condition, confirming that surgery was essential.
“Moses had the plate and screws removed from his ankle and fibula due to persistent pain,” Kombouaré explained, according to Ouest-France.
“We’re using this period, with the upcoming short break, to address the issue. The operation allows him a two-week recovery before rejoining the team. It was a much-needed procedure for his well-being.
Earlier this month, Moses Simon scored a spectacular goal for Nantes against Rennes.
