Manchester United approach the January transfer window in dire need of reinforcements but with minimal funds available.
Despite financial constraints, the Red Devils are monitoring other targets, including Victor Osimhen and PSG’s Nuno Mendes, though moves for either seem unlikely.
Victor Osimhen: A Distant Dream

United have long admired Victor Osimhen, whose reputation as a top striker remains intact despite a turbulent exit from Napoli.
Currently on loan at Galatasaray, the Nigerian has impressed in Turkey, continuing to deliver in front of goal. However, Galatasaray is unlikely to be a long-term destination for him.
Napoli included a recall clause in Victor Osimhen’s loan deal, allowing them to sell him in January if the right offer arrives.
Yet, United’s limited budget and concerns over matching his salary and transfer fee suggest this move is improbable.
The Red Devils’ attack, led by the promising but inconsistent Rasmus Højlund, could undoubtedly benefit from a proven finisher like Osimhen.
Manchester United’s Interest in Nuno Mendes

Another target on United’s radar is PSG full-back Nuno Mendes according to the Daily Mail, the full back previously thrived under Ruben Amorim at Sporting Lisbon.
The 22-year-old’s speed and energy down the flank make him an ideal fit for Amorim’s preferred wing-back system.
PSG are keen to secure Mendes to a long-term deal but might consider a sale if the Portuguese star hesitates to extend his contract.
A cut-price deal could work in United’s favor, though it would depend on the Parisians’ willingness to negotiate and Mendes’ desire to reunite with Amorim.
