Manchester United fans hoping to see new signing “Bryan Mbeumo” in action against West Ham were left disappointed as the £71 million recruit sat out Saturday’s 2-1 friendly win in the United States.
However, Ruben Amorim has provided a firm update on when supporters can expect to see the Cameroon international make his highly anticipated debut.
Amorim Explains the Delay
Speaking to United’s in-house media team, Amorim revealed the plan is to gradually integrate Mbeumo into the squad following his late arrival to pre-season training.
> “Bryan is starting slowly. He is not going to play in the next one. We hope to have Bryan in the last game (in the United States). He’s training now, so we’ll see,” Amorim said.
This means Mbeumo will miss Thursday’s upcoming friendly against Bournemouth, but the club is targeting Sunday’s match against Everton as the potential debut fixture for the former Brentford star.
