With two weeks left in the summer transfer window, Inter Milan are preparing a fresh move for another target, using the budget initially allocated for Ademola Lookman.

Despite being heavily linked with the Nigerian forward, Inter appear ready to step away from the deal after failed negotiations with Atalanta.
Lookman Deal Stalls
The Nerazzurri had two bids for Lookman turned down, an initial €40 million and a follow-up €45 million, as Atalanta refused to drop below their €50 million valuation.
Lookman, who recently handed in a transfer request, has been at the center of transfer drama, but Inter’s hierarchy had already set a deadline for their pursuit, refusing to be dragged into prolonged negotiations.
Manu Kone Emerges as Priority

According to report, Inter have accelerated plans to sign Roma midfielder Manu Kone. The club is preparing an initial bid of €40 million, the same amount they first offered for Lookman.
Roma are reportedly open to a sale, and if negotiations progress, it would effectively mark the end of Inter’s chase for the Atalanta star.
Club president Beppe Marotta had earlier emphasized the need to respect Atalanta during negotiations, but also made it clear that Inter would not continue chasing Lookman indefinitely. With Kone now firmly on the radar, the Nerazzurri seem set to move forward with their transfer business in a new direction.
