Club Brugge have named Kaye Furo, son of former Nigerian international Iyenemi Furo, in their provisional squad for the UEFA Champions League playoff return leg against Rangers.
The Belgian club announced a 25-man list as they prepare for the crucial clash at the Jan Breydelstadion.
Raphael Onyedika, a Super Eagles midfielder, also made the cut as expected. But the spotlight is on 18-year-old Kaye, who has been promoted from the youth setup following an injury to forward Romeo Vermant.
Football Bloodline Runs Deep

Kaye’s father, Iyenemi Furo, was a solid defender for Nigeria at the 2000 Africa Cup of Nations and also represented the country at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
His son now looks to carry on the legacy by stepping onto the senior stage for Club Brugge.
Despite being yet to make his senior debut, Kaye has impressed at youth level.
He has three goals in seven UEFA Youth League games and eight more in 34 appearances for Club Brugge NXT in Belgium’s second division.
His recent call-up gives him the chance to wear the number 87 shirt and possibly make history against Rangers.
Injury Opens Door for Rising Forward
Vermant’s muscle injury, sustained in the first leg in Glasgow, ruled him out until after the September international break.
This created the perfect opportunity for Kaye to prove himself in the senior squad.
The young striker, who has also featured for Belgium’s U19 team, has been building momentum all season.
He has already experienced the senior matchday atmosphere after being named on the bench in a Champions League qualifier against Salzburg and a league match against KVC Westerlo.
Wednesday’s tie is set to be a decisive one, with Club Brugge eager to secure a place in the Champions League group stage.
