Kaye Furo, the son of former Super Eagles defender Furo Iyenemi, stepped onto the big stage on Wednesday night.
The 18-year-old forward made his senior debut for Club Brugge as they crushed Rangers 6-0 in the UEFA Champions League playoff second leg at the Jan Breydel Stadium.
The Belgian side’s dominant win sealed a massive 9–1 triumph on aggregate, confirming their place in the group stage of Europe’s biggest club competition.
Goals Galore as Rangers Collapse

Club Brugge wasted no time setting the tone. Nicolò Tresoldi scored within five minutes, putting the hosts in front early.
Any hope Rangers had of fighting back faded quickly when Max Aarons was sent off in the eighth minute, leaving the Scottish team a man down.
Hans Vanaken added a second goal in the 32nd minute before Joaquin Seys scored twice to extend the lead. Aleksandar Stanković and Christos Tzolis added the final touches to complete the six goal demolition.
Furo’s introduction late in the match gave fans a first look at his style and potential. Though his time on the pitch was short, the home supporters applauded his confident touches and composure under pressure.
A Promising Career Ahead
Just a week ago, the teenager signed a contract extension to stay with Club Brugge until July 2027, a sign of the club’s belief in his future.
At the international level, Furo has already played for Belgium in youth competitions and became provisionally tied to the national team in March 2024 after featuring in a UEFA Under 17 Championship qualifier against Finland.
With the new season just beginning, the young forward is looking to build momentum and earn more minutes in top flight football.
His debut marks the start of what could be an exciting journey for both player and club.
