Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen believes Galatasaray can rise to the challenge after being placed in one of the most difficult UEFA Champions League groups.
The Turkish club will face football giants Manchester City, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid, alongside Ajax, Monaco, Eintracht Frankfurt, Bodø/Glimt and Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in the league phase.
Osimhen, who secured a permanent move to Galatasaray this summer following a brilliant loan spell, says the team has the right mindset to fight against Europe’s best.
Last season, he scored 37 goals and provided eight assists, helping his club win a domestic double. He has continued his sharp form, netting in their recent 3-1 win over Rizespor.

“We know it will be tough, but we believe in our strength and quality,” Osimhen said after the match. “This group has big teams, but we also have big players and a strong coach. We will work and fight to achieve success.”
Despite acknowledging the difficulty of the draw, Osimhen remains optimistic about Galatasaray’s chances of making a deep run.
“We are heading in the right direction,” he said. “This club wants to compete at the highest level. Our goal is to reach the final and meet the standards that Galatasaray sets.”
The Turkish champions have already shown promise under their current setup and hope their attacking strength will prove enough to challenge European powerhouses.
