‘HOW COULD YOU?’- Mourinho dragged for snubbing Victor Osimhen as striker destroys manager’s team with beautiful assist

Fernbache boss Jose Mourinho came under scrutiny for snubbing Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen to sign Youssef En-Nesyri in the transfer window.

Club legend Selim Soyda has questioned the Portuguese gaffer’s rationale behind signing the Moroccan striker, who cost €19.50 million instead of acquiring the then-available Osimhen.

Osimhen recently secured a loan move to Galatasaray after being axed out of Napoli’s senior team following a failed deadline transfer to Chelsea.

Since his arrival, the Super Eagles striker, however, yet to find the back of the net, has provided an assist in his two appearances for the club, including one last weekend’s 3-1 victory over Fernabache.

Meanwhile, En-Nesyri has failed to hit the ground running since his move to Mourinho’s side, boasting just one goal contribution in his six games for the club.

The former Sevilla striker has come under criticism for his poor return, with Soyda being the latest critic of his performances after a very quiet outing against Galatasaray.

The former defender lashed out, in quotes relayed by habersarikirmizi, saying:

“How can you give 20 million Euros to this En-Nesyri? The guy can’t score an empty net.

“I don’t understand why Mourinho insists so much. Galatasaray bought Victor Osimhen. How could you lose such a guy?

“If necessary, you could have sent 1-2 players away, you shouldn’t have lost Osimhen to Galatasaray.”

Meanwhile Mourinho, ahead of last weekend’s clash with the Turkish champions had a lot to say about Victor Osimhen.

While the 61-year-old manager praised the reigning Africa’s Men Footballer of the Year, he stated one behaviour he dislikes about him.

With two assists in the bag, Osimhen will now look to open his goal scoring account for Galatasaray as the Cim-bom welcome Greek side PAOK for Tuesday’s Europa League encounter.
